War with Iraq
As USA and Britain start to prepare their peoples for their invasion of Iraq I sit back and wonder how they can live with the hypocrisy of their positions. Sure Iraq is a repressive dictatorship that should be replaced by a democratic government, but so are most of the governments of the world. They have weapons of Mass Destruction, but so do the USA and Britain and many other governments around the world. Iraq under Hussain was actively supported and funded by the USA during the Iraq-Iran war. Their abhorrent actions have not suddenly arisen since then, they were just as evil back then. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia (two of the US's buddies in this action) are just as repressive as Iraq, but that is conveniently forgotten. The US cares so little for the International rule of law that they have refused to submit themselves to the International Criminal Court and yet they sit in judgement on others. This is not right.
